To maintain a polished, professional appearance at all performances — especially as we continue to participate in regional and national festivals — formal concert attire is required for all students.
For Violin & Viola Players (and optional for Cello/Bass):
Ashbury Concert Dress – Black, floor-length, short sleeves | Order here
Note: These dresses are typically very long. Most students will need to have them hemmed before the first concert.
For Cello & Bass Players (recommended):
Carson Concert Jumpsuit – Black, sleeveless with wide-leg pants | Order here
Many cello and bass players prefer this style for greater comfort and mobility while playing.
For All Male or Tuxedo-Wearing Students:
Standard Full Black Tuxedo | Suggested vendor option
Families may use this vendor or source a tuxedo from any retailer. All tuxedos must include:
A white tuxedo shirt (long sleeve)
A long black tie (not a bowtie)
Black, closed-toe dress shoes and black socks
All students must wear solid black, closed-toe dress shoes to all performances.
Dress shoes are defined as formal, polished shoes typically worn with business or concert attire.
➤ Shoes must be closed-toe for both safety and uniformity.
➤ Doc Martens, combat boots, sneakers, sandals, or athletic shoes are not permitted.
We will no longer place a bulk uniform order.
Each family is responsible for:
Measuring their student using the vendor’s size chart
Ordering directly through the vendor’s website (links above)
Planning ahead for shipping and tailoring (especially hemming for dresses)
➡️ Please place uniform orders in early August to ensure on-time delivery and alterations before our first concert in September.
The unlimited return/exchange policy has been discontinued.
If a student outgrows their uniform:
We will try to exchange from the uniform closet if available
Otherwise, families must alter or purchase a new one
