$150.00 per student ($75.00 per semester)
Annual dues fund the Hillgrove Orchestra Booster Club (HOBC), which supports the orchestra program and provides students with opportunities to develop as musicians. Dues cover a variety of important areas, including:
1) Educational Opportunities: Paying for guest clinicians and conductors to offer specialized lessons and masterclasses
2) Events & Competitions
a. Large Group Performance Evaluations (LGPE): Covering costs for students to participate in this adjudicated performance event.
b. Helping with transportation, field trip costs, and application fees so students can perform outside the classroom
3) Professional Memberships Fees: Paying membership fees to professional organizations such as the Georgia Music Educators Association, the American String Teachers Association, and the Music Educators National Conference, which enable to orchestra to participate in concert events.
4) Administrative Costs: Covering bank, post-office, and tax fees, as well as software programs (e.g., QuickBooks and Renosi) used to keep the program running smoothly.
5) Student Awards & Recognition: Funding for trophies, plaques, certificates, and orchestra letters to celebrate student achievements.
6) Performance Enhancements: Paying for professional recordings of concerts and performances so students can review and enjoy their work.
7) Supplies & Equipment
a. Purchasing and maintaining necessary materials such as sheet music, strings, rosin, music stands, and other instrument accessories.
b. Investing in technology and software that improve learning and performance experiences.
8) Hillgrove Orchestra T-Shirt: Each student receives a Hillgrove Orchestra T-shirt upon payment of their annual dues.
Due Date: All dues must be paid by August 30, 2025.
How to Pay: Payments should be made through CutTime. You should have received an invitation through the email on file with the CCSD school district. There are fundraising opportunities that can help cover dues. Please note that orchestra fees are NOT part of uniform fees.
